Who is logged into your social media accounts?
Halloween special!! Find out who's been stalking you on your social media accounts, does anybody have access to your accounts?
Ever wondered if you have left yourself logged into your social media accounts on someone's phone, or at a library computer? and maybe someone else has access to your personal things ? Well, the good news is that you can actually check and log out from your settings, have a look below for how to log out of your devices from a few social media accounts :)
For Facebook
- Go into your Settings
- Then Security and Login
- Look into Where you’re logged in
- select: See more
- Go through and log out of any devices that you no longer use
For twitter
- Go to Settings and Privacy
- Go to Apps and Devices
- Then scroll down to Recently Used Devices
- Log out of any that you don't know or have anymore
Only a couple of social media platforms don't let you manage your account centrally. You can see who's logged in, the date and time you logged in and out but you can't log out of a foreign device from your own device, you would have to go back to that device and log out of it manually. So, say it is your friend's phone you logged in Instagram from, you would have to go back to your friend and manually log out of your Instagram account from his/her phone.
For Snapchat
- Login to Snapchat via your desktop
- Click My Data
- Then Submit Request
- This will then email you a zip to view your login history
For Instagram
- Go into Settings
- Privacy and Security
- View Account Data
- Activity
Just so you know, we always suggest that it is better if you only log into your social media accounts through your own device, but we know that sometimes this cannot be possible, so be careful and always review your active devices for every social media account you have.
